Hi, the problem was, that my hoster blocked port 80 for security reasons. After he opened that, registration worked. Might be the reason for more of these problems.
However, thanks for your support! Thomas
Hi, it’s the same to me:
have a site for registration, with shortcode [-user-meta type=”registration” form=”Registrierung”-], and registration works, but neither admin nor the registrant gets any mail for activation. However, the user is there, and I get error messages while any data is missing or wrong (different passwords). But when everything is filled in correctly and the reg. presses “Register”-button, no message is beeing showed on the site and no mail arrives anywhere. Any idea?
Thanks, Thomas
tried activation from MY site, error: Something went wrong – -32300 : transport error – HTTP status code was not 200
tried activation from http://user-meta.com/activation/ : no success either, did input all passwords etc., pressed “activate”-button, then came to a site whith normal header, but only title “Remote Activation”, nothing else happend.
However, hat to choose the version and could only choose up to 1.1.3rc3, not 1.1.3, which is the version I’ve installed.
Then therefor did remove 1.1.3, downloaded and installed manually 1.1.3rc3, same failure.
Updated to 1.1.3 again, however, no success either way.
Any hint, what I still could try?
Very courious, hope you’ll help, Thomas
