wp-register Vs UserMeta(custom register form)

I have a problem here

I made a custom registration form with user méta pro and it work well.

The problem is, People can register with http://www.mysite.com/wp-register.php
i need to desactivate the fonction ‘anyone can register’ in the WP administration Panel and when i desactivate it my custom registration doesnt work anymore and got the message ‘ Register User is not autorise’

How can i remove or desable the wp-register.php

You can put following codes to your functions.php

add_action( 'init', 'block_signup_header' );
function block_signup_header() {
	$file = basename( $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] );
	if  ( in_array( $file, array( 'wp-signup.php', 'wp_register' ) ) ) {
		wp_redirect( home_url() );
		exit();
	}
}

Hi, This blocks it so people can’t go to wp-register, but the URL that they would normally get redirected to is /wp-login.php?action=register and that still works.

Can you please add this to the plugin so that we can redirect people who want to register, the same way we redirect people who want to login.

Well, I figured it out, kinda, myself. I’m using this code…

add_action( 'init', 'block_signup_header' );
function block_signup_header() {
	$file = basename( $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] );
	if  ( in_array( $file, array( 'wp-signup.php', 'wp_register', 'wp-login.php' ) ) ) {
		wp_redirect( 'http://www.domainname.com/login/', 301 );
		exit();
	}
}

where http://www.domainname.com/login/ is the custom login page. Note: I don’t think this would work if you weren’t using the custom login function.
