Two column form?

Hi,
how can I build a two-column form?
My forms have a lot of fields, and I wish to use the whole page width by put the fields along two columns…

In the future, I dream something like this

Hi Luke,
For now you can assign class name to field and write your own css (style.css from theme directory) to make them two column.

Has anyone managed to create 2 column forms, and if so can you share the method used please?

I’ve used HTML field and inserted and in another HTML field at the end of the column I insert the closing tag.

Note I’ve found using works better than .

Thank you for posting the info about using the “HTML” field to help style the html output when using the [user-meta type="xxx"] shortcode… very helpful!

To take this one step further, can you help advise what add_action or hook can be applied to allow those fields to accept shortcodes? A lot of themes these days already come with shortcodes for columns, layouts, etc. and it’d be WONDERFUL if we could incorporate them, instead of writing our own HTML.
