Well, I figured it out, kinda, myself. I’m using this code…

function block_signup_header() {
	$file = basename( $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] );
	if  ( in_array( $file, array( 'wp-signup.php', 'wp_register', 'wp-login.php' ) ) ) {
		wp_redirect( 'http://www.domainname.com/login/', 301 );
		exit();
	}
}

where http://www.domainname.com/login/ is the custom login page. Note: I don’t think this would work if you weren’t using the custom login function.

Hi, This blocks it so people can’t go to wp-register, but the URL that they would normally get redirected to is /wp-login.php?action=register and that still works.

Can you please add this to the plugin so that we can redirect people who want to register, the same way we redirect people who want to login.

Quick notes and a question.

If you copy this code directly you’ll have problems. First, there are some fancy quotes and apostrophes in there that need to be replaced with the ‘normal’ ones. Second, you need to be sure to replace ‘Field ID that you need to control’ I missed this at first, and my whole theme stopped working, so I thought I should mention it.

Question: how do I apply this filter to multiple fields?
