I’m trying to have registrants input their south african ID number into a custom field. The field should accept only a 13 digit numeric value. I have used this regular expression in the pattern field: [0-9]{13}$
If on the first attempt, I use 13 numeric characters, the form submission works.
If I incorrectly fill in this field and then hit submit, I get the error text.
The problem is that once the error text is displayed, the form will not allow the field to be corrected. This is to say that, even if you input 13 numerical characters after having received the error text, the field does not let you pass.
I have also the same problem.
I tested in different browsers also.
If I don’t make an own error text (let the field empty), then it works perfect!
You can delete the field input with the little “x” in the field, or make a correction in the field.
The red frame is gone then, and you can submit the form.
