Problem to upload avatar

Hey you their, I purchased the user-meta pro some hours ago…
I tried to use it out, but I have 2 main problem:

when i upload avatar, it write it name, go to 100%, and then write: “Failed”.
why should I do to fix it out?

second problem, is that I add some new fields… and I gave them meta names, as it was wrote their… when I go to the profile, it save the information i insert. but how can the admin show all the user information?

Hello,

2. An admin can see others profile by backend user listing page. And also can access fronrend user’s profile.

Go to User Meta >> Settings (General Tab)
Under “Profile page selection”, select your profile page and check the right sided checkbox and hit save.
Go to User listing page, mouse over on a username, there will be new link as mouseover.

about the second thing – I think it’s ok…
I understand that part… I will check it later.

About the avatar part. it dont work even without AJAX.
The problem, is that the file is upload. and I see it in my folders…
But it not change the user avatar… it’s stuck on the default image.

my PHP version is 5.2.17
this is the problem? if yes, which version I need to change?

Hello you again,
I update my PHP VERSION to 5.3.14.
but the problem is keeping to happen to me.

The file is upload. 100%. then “Failed”
in the directory of “uploads” I see it. but it don’t update the user avatar.

Please help me soon, what can be the problem, I need this stuff to be done in the next days.

Can you please explain what happend with non-ajax?

For non-ajax follow:
1. check “Do not use AJAX submit” checkbox with your form and
2. check “Disable “AJAX Upload” checkbox in “Fields Editor” for avatar field.

Hi there. Having the same issue described above. I’m using several file upload fields in AJAX mode. It works great on most browsers (AJAX upload, progress status, and file successfully uploaded). But using Safari (Mac and Win), I get the “Failed” status after the file is reported being 100% uploaded. When I check on the server, the file was not uploaded.

I read a few things on some forums regarding Safari and Ajax upload support. There seem to be some issues on how webkit handles it.

Setting the upload so that it doesn’t use AJAX works great on all browser, but for my application, using ajax a very, very useful feature (user upload 12 large files to build an image gallery, and doing it synchronously feels very web 1.0….

Quick update: I was able to resolve my problem by replacing fileupload.js with the latest version from Valum. Maybe it can help others.

– latest version of fileupload.js can be found there: http://valums.com/ajax-upload/
– after unpacking the zip file, I copied fileupload.js and replaced the one located there: \wordpress\wp-content\plugins\user-meta\assets\js\jquery
– I do not have anymore the issue uploading files with Safari.
