After the registration and email validation, the user can edit the email easily in his profile. After this edit, the user doesn’t have to validate the email again, so he can put an invalid email in his profile after registration and then register a new user with his valid email again.
Is there any way to send the email verification notification again? Could be this achieved with a filter?
Email verification for email changing is not yet provided with UMP. Please post it to our feature request section so that we can consider this as next implementation.
Ok thanks, but I need to implement it now. So, is there any function/filter that let me:
1. Desactivate a user account
2. Resend the confirmation email to make him activate his account again
Or could you please show me where I can find the piece of code in the plugin that let me do this? I’m a developer and I think I could do it myself, but It would be good to have some point to start from.
Hello,
You can use ‘user_meta_after_user_update’ action hook to determine email changes. If email changes detected then send customized/registration email and deactivate the account.
Please have a look on
user-meta/controllers/pro/umEmailNotificationController.php
user-meta/controllers/pro/umUserActivationController.php
method: authenticateUser()
And put %email_verification_url% placeholder in the email body or emailVerificationUrl() method from user-meta/models/pro/umSupportProMOdel.php
Hope, these will help.
Thanks.
