log out link

Hi, I don’t think the process of having a link that says LOG OUT should lead to a LOST PASSWORD page. This isn’t logical at all. Just confuses users as they are very different actions.

For anyone needing a regular link I’ve tried using
/wp-login.php?action=logout

That works ok but forces people to a “Are you sure you want to logout?” page which is a bit annoying as well.

You can change page name from resetpass to anything. Please follow:

This is how I did it cleanly. I put the below code as an element in my navbar and used the WP function wp_logout_url() You can also pass in a custom URL if you don’t want to redirect to your home page, as I did below.

I use it with an IF statement and the is_user_logged_in() function to determine if the user is or isn’t logged in.

Here is my code…

Hi, UMP 1.1.5 is not using resetpass page for logout anymore 🙂
