We have completed our site and we are getting an error when attempting to sign-in using the sidebar login widget using IE9. When we attempt to login, the spinning .gif starts to load, and a message is displayed below the word login that says “Security check”, preventing login.
I went to the security settings to define a custom level for scripting. When I set the menu item: “ActiveX controls and plug-ins > Allow Scriptlets” to “Enable”, it worked fine.
This may pose a huge problem for IE users visiting our site. Is there a work-around so we don’t have to post a tutorial on how to update the scriplet settings. This is such an amazing plugin and I look forward to a resolution.
I have this same exact issue using the sidebar widget login; however, the activeX change in IE 9 proposed by russellruetz did not work for me. Additionally, I’m experiencing the same “security check” prompt when using Chrome. So it’s not limited to one browser.
Logging in still works fine on the page that I added the login shortcode to and using the traditional /wp-login.php page.
“Security Check” text suppose to show, when you already logged-in with one tab and try to log-in with another tab with same browser. Would you please check the issue again and let us know (I have check your site, Login widget is currently disable in your site).
Thanks.
