Format my own profile page

Hi there,

How do I create my own profile page so that I can apply more formatting and layout to the profile information.

I don’t like how User Meta formats the profile form.  For example, there is a lot of wasted space by only allowing one form field per line. As well, I’d like to apply some conditional formatting based on User Roles assigned to the profile.

Could you briefly identify the steps I would need to follow to create a specific profile form that uses user meta pro?

I would like to still use the validation and error checking that comes with User Meta if possible.

Or more simply, how do I put div’s and such around the form controls? Where is the html stored that is used to generate the default profile page?

Hello,

From version 1.1.3rc1, you can defined form class for fornt-end profile or registration form. And every field allow custom css class too. By writing your own css within class and calling those class from user meta, you can change complete look and feel for your form.

When I create a “Field” I assign it the class “class1”
Where do I edit the class definition to change the look and feel of the form?
I tried adding .class1{} to style.css but that didn’t have any effect…

How do I add my own styles to the Fields?
