I have never an email although I requested them.
July 24, 2012 at 7:53 pm #1760svogtMemberHi I had to return here to let you know that I resolved my problem and was able to get emails working. There must have been a conflict with another user management plugin because when I deactivated New User Approval (whose interface, by the way, looks very much like the interface of this plugin) the email started working.
I LOVE this plugin. I am finding that it is making my job (creating a client area) so much easier. It does exactly what I need it to do, and I got a very pleasant surprise looking at the settings, I realized I can use the wp_admin profile page, customize it with a few clicks (to get rid of extra fields I don’t need or want) and then present it hidden behind a different url. This is exactly what I wanted to do.
I am not marking this topic as resolved because I don’t know if the other person has resolved their problem.
Thank you!
August 29, 2012 at 9:28 pm #1933lemondesignMemberI don’t get any notifications either. And I don’t have any other user management plugins activated.
September 3, 2012 at 3:48 pm #1974lemondesignMemberAs a note: somehoe the email sending is being broken after i add a hidden field with with meta-key=”role” and default value “editor”.
When I remove the hidden field, after registration, emails are being sent again.
However, on another site, on another server, emails aren’t working at all, and i dont know why.
weird.
September 4, 2012 at 3:27 pm #1983KhaledMemberHello,
Please check following things:
1. Are all other email system working? (without User Meta)
2. Try User Meta forget password feature. Is it able to send email?
3. Create a registration form with user-meta shortcode, and make sure Email notification is not disable. Then, try to register a new user from frontend.
3. Check your spam folder in your email inbox for incoming email. And please send your site url with answer of those question to our “Contact Us” section.
Thanks.
September 12, 2012 at 10:25 am #2063lemondesignMemberThanks Khale
I found out that all my email services were failing.
Therefore, I installed the plugin “WP-Mail-SMTP” and everything worked.
GREAT!
September 12, 2012 at 10:26 am #2064lemondesignMemberthanks again.
February 17, 2013 at 5:55 am #3041otakupahpMemberMy mail sytem is working, but some of my notifications are going to spam folders. First I send my mails from another domain (my page is @example.com and I used exmp.net), then I changed my “from” to the actual domain but still is send to spam folders.
Is there any form to configure the “sendmail” the plugin uses to use and trusted smtp server?
March 21, 2013 at 1:12 am #3506frappa23MemberHi There,
I’ve a problem with email notification on user registration.
I’ve installed the plugin “Email log” to double check, but doesn’t work.
Contact form 7 manage to send mail and even User Meta Pro password recovery mail works, but not the registration one!
I’ve created a new form and disabled a custom html field, a custom input field, the recaptcha…but no way…no notification is sent: user are created but nor admin nor user is notified.
Some more info: User registration have to be approved by admin (I’ve even tried disabling this feature).
Please help!!
ThanksMarch 25, 2013 at 4:37 pm #3529SupportMemberHello, Please go to User Meta >> Email Notification, then make sure “Disable this notification” checkbox is not checked.
Thanks.
May 21, 2013 at 2:58 am #3744jcgriffethMemberHi, I am having the same problem with email notifications not being sent when a new user registers. I have checked all the suggestions from Kaled and Support in the thread above. The reset password email is getting sent correctly, and the “Disable this notification” checkbox is not checked. I even created a new registration form as was suggested, but none of this has made any difference. I sent an email to support via the contact us form on this site about a week ago too about this problem and have not heard back at all from them.
Help Please!!
May 21, 2013 at 11:27 am #3745fundzersMemberI’m having the same issues. It was working until recently… Then it just suddenly stopped. The only email that is working is the one after I manually activate a user. No other plugins installed that would cause a conflict, nor is the “disable” button checked. All of the fields are entered correctly. Not sure what to do at this point as I feel like I’ve tried everything.
September 29, 2014 at 3:56 am #6364DigitalDuetMemberSame – Send email to new user not working at all. Please ADVISE ASAP.
