Catch the ip address and assign it to a field

Is it possible to catch the IP address of the user and assign it to a field?

Hi Eric, You can use following codes to your functions.php

function store_ip_address($response)
{
    $user_id = $response->ID;
    update_user_meta($user_id, 'user_ip', $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']);
}
add_action('user_meta_after_user_register', 'store_ip_address');
add_action('user_meta_after_user_update', 'store_ip_address');

Use user_ip as meta_key for field.
