I have the pro version, but activation from WP Backend fails.
Error: (…) 32300 : transport error – could not open socket
Email and password are surely correct.
Any help?

Please use 1.1.3rc1 version as it support remote activation while socket communication were failed.

Use this url to active remotely: http://user-meta.com/activation/
Please note, you need to be logged in in order to do remote activation.

I need to activate the user meta pro license on a local development instance of wordpress to verify that our use of user-meta is ok for our client. Is there a wordaround when our site is not live yet?

You are able to validate your license from your local instance as well as live one. Go to User Meta >> Settings and provide necessary data to validate your license.

I have the same problem and error. The server is behind a firewall and there is no way for it to communicate with the User Meta site. I cannot use the user-meta.com/activation/ form either for the same reason. How can I manually validate the license?

Download and install pro version from http://user-meta.com/downloads/
go to User Meta >> settings and put your email and password for http://user-meta.com to validate your license.

Yes, I have and get the error message in the subject line. I think that our firewall is blocking whatever it is the form is attempting to do. I do not have a way around this. Is it possible you can just give me a license key that I can install?

Unfortunately we there is no license key, Validation procedure require to communicate with UMP server, however is is possible to give temporary admin account to us by “Contact Us” section to manually validate it.

Unfortunately, like I said before, this machine is behind a firewall and there is no way for you to get to it. It might be possible for me to access your website from the plug-in if it knows how to utilize a proxy service. Can it read an environment variable with proxy and authentication information or can I give it the information some other way?

If not, then we cannot use the plug-in and I will have to withdraw my credit card payment and cancel the purchase.
