Install User Meta Pro By WordPress Admin Panel

General

  1. Login with your username and password.
  2. Go to http://user-meta.com/downloads/ and download latest version of the plugin.
  3. If you already have free version installed, disable and delete free version from WP admin. (Deleting the plugin won’t effect on your saved fields/forms or settings).
  4. Install and activate downloaded plugin in your website using Plugins >> Add New menu.
  5. Go to User Meta >> Settings, put your email and password for http://user-meta.com/ and hit “Validate” button to validate your license.

More Details

  1. Download latest version of User Meta Pro from Download Page. To download User Meta Pro, you need to be Register and complete your subscription first. If already subscribe then just login.
  2. If you have free version installed then disable and remove it.  For removing existing version, go to Plugins >>Installed plugins from your admin panel. Find User Meta, there will be a link named Active or Deactive  under User Meta. If plugin is Activated then Deactive it by clicking Deactive. After Deactivation, There will be a Delete link available. Click Delete link. Delete link will redirect you to confirmation page. Confirm you deletion by clicking Yes, Delete these files. (Deleting the plugin won’t effect on your saved fields/forms or settings)
  3. Go to Plugins >> Add New from admin panel. Click upload from upper menu. Locate user-meta-pro.x.y.z.zip file and click Install Now.  Plugin will start uploading, after complete uploading, Click Active Plugin.
  4. User Meta Pro is activated. There will be a new menu block in your admin panel named User Meta.
  5. Now you need to validate your license, to validate license go to User Meta >> Settings, put your email and password for http://user-meta.com and hit Validate button.

 

Update from old version to new version

When there is new stable version announce, you will be notified by your plugin listing page with update link. Just click update link to update your plugin version

If for any case update link is not working for you or you need to install RC or DEV version, then follow those steps:

  1. Login and download latest version of User Meta Pro from Download Page.
  2. You need to remove old version then.  For removing old version, go to Plugins >>Installed plugins from your admin panel. Find User Meta Pro, there will be a link named Active or Deactive  under User Meta Pro. If plugin is Activated then Deactive it by clicking Deactive. After Deactivation, There will be a Delete link available. Click Delete link. Delete link will redirect you to confirmation page. Login with Username or Email (Widget / Shortcode)

Allow to login your WordPress site not only with username but also with email address. It is possible to login user either email or username in a single field, User Meta Pro plugin will take decision is it email or username. User meta Pro provide shortcode for showing login form in a page or post.

Shortcode page/post:

Logically important to active login page by creating shortcode page/post. Before setup login option, site admin has to setup shortcode to the page/post. For creating login page through shortcode, insert user meta login {page >> add new} shortcode

Setup Login Option:
For login in wordpress site, User Meta Pro plugin can give three types of support:
01. Login through Username or Email (Password is mandatory).
02. Login through Email only (Password is mandatory).
03. Login through Username only (Password is madatory).

01. Login through Username or Email:
Register can login in the site through using Username or Email and Password (Both option is open here).
In basis of user meta login support, site admin have to configure “User Login Setting” {User Meta >> Setting}.

Above image indicate that site admin fixed the User Login Setting/ option by selecting “Username or Email“. So register user can login those site through registered “Username or Email” and “Password“.

02. Login through Email:
Register can login in the site through using Email and Password only.
In basis of user meta login support, site admin have to configure “User Login Setting” {User Meta >> Setting}.

03. Login through Username:
Register can login in the site through using Username and Password only.In basis of user meta login support, site admin have to configure “User Login Setting” {User Meta >> Setting}.

Note: Select the logout option for signout the user.
