Required field

Hello, should the checkbox “Required” be associated not only to the field but to the field+form?

If I have a field “gender” it could be required for some kind of user (form-dedicated-to-some-user) and it could be optional for other users (different form).

Same field just required on a form, optional on another.

Is there a way to “do something like this” now? What will happer if I create two fields, one called “gender (required)” and one called “gender (optional)” with the same meta key, knowing that they can’t be in the same form?

Yes. You can create two field with same meta_key but different settings and use them in separate form. But not in same form.
