Hidden role field = not working | User Meta Pro - WordPress user management plugin

When i hide a role field in the form, set with a default value, the expected behavior is that the value translates to the user account registration, but it does not. I set the role value to “Buyer” and hide the field, but include it on the form, but users that register through the form come through with a role of Subscriber

ok, the problem is if i hide it and make the field “read only for all user” then it does not work. if i uncheck the “read only for all user” box it works as expected. this should work either way, but this thread can be closed now.
