So far, I really like this plugin, but I’m having an issue with notification email formatting. I’ve done the below, but I’m not sure where to go next. Can you help?
I’m receiving verification emails, but the format is broken on all emails sent. I have everything set to HTML. But I receive only text emails – and also with no line breaks. I mean, everything in the body field shows up as one long text string in the emails.
I thought perhaps the Builder theme I’m using might be affecting it. But I tried it with the WordPress default Twenty Eleven theme and had the same problem. Also, deactivating all other plugins does not resolve.
Further, I tested the default WordPress registration and have the same problem with notifications.
Finally, I deactivated User Meta Pro plugin and the default WordPress registration form then sent properly formatted notification emails.
Thanks, but as I stated in the second paragraph of the original message, I have everything set to HTML – Both on the General tab, and each individual notification form. The problem persists.
I wanted to make certain that I had not done anything else to affect this plugin, so I set up a test site – a brand new installation of WordPress 3.4.1 with only the default Twenty Eleven theme and NO other plugins. I have the same problem on this test site – notification emails are text only and unformatted (meaning everything in the body displays as one long text string in the email)
What should I be looking at to resolve this? Is this a code issue, or something else like some setting on the server?
Is anyone else using this plugin on shared Hostgator hosting? If so, have you had any similar problem? Any info anyone could share would be greatly appreciated.
The issue was resolved by support via email. Many thanks to support.
I’m probably the only goofball that overlooked this, but the issue was that I wasn’t using html tags in the body of the notifications – Duh – in case any of you are wondering.
Thanks again,
Martin
