I would like to change the layout of a date field that displays the date a user has registered in the User Listing from yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss to something simpler like F j or mm.dd. I have both searched in the forum and in the plugin/WP-settings for solutions to this problem but unfortunately found nothing.
At the moment I have a shared field (“Extra Field” of the type “Date/Time”) that has “user_registered” at it´s Meta Key and F j as the date format. However in the list the date is still shown as yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss.
In the user listing table, data is fetched directly from the user data table pulled using meta-key.
That is why it showing the data as it is saved in the database. Unfortunately, there is no direct feature to show the date in a different format. But with some tinkering on code or database, you can show the registration dates in different formats.
Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately I don´t have direct access to the database and I´m not very experienced with modifying wordpress with code (I assume you mean modifying the functions.php?). Could you please give me some keywords that might point me in the right direction? 🙂
