    We moved servers at our host, but kept the same domain and made no other changes. Now User Meta is asking for my email and password to re-issue the license, but when I enter my email and password it just gives me a “something went wrong” error, which is very frustrating.

    I have an Unlimited license. Why can’t I activate my license?

    My client’s site has over 70 plugins. User Meta Pro is the only one that broke when we changed servers. Is there anything I can do in the future to prevent this loss of access for my client’s users?

    It’s very embarrassing to have to tell my clients that there is nothing I can do to fix this issue, that access to their site is entirely in the hands of a single plugin author. Why isn’t this something users can manage on their own?

    I’ve paid for this plugin many times over for many clients’ projects, and up until now I have always considered it a must-have. However, with 3,000 users locked out and no reply to my emails or messages, and no way to self-serve the license on my own, my recommendation to use this plugin is making me look bad to my clients.

    Please help us get the license validation working again.

    Hi,

    If two servers support same encryption algorithm, then the license not suppose to stop working. In your case, may be both of your servers do not support same encryption algorithm. And most of the time ‘something went wrong’ message appears when your server can not communicate with our server. However, please send us the url of your website to support(at)user-meta.com and we will send you a verification url, by which you can validate your license.

    N.B. Your one year subscription of unlimited license has been expired. Please subscribe again if you want.

    Ehm, isn’t the subscription to support and updates? AFAIK nowhere it states that you have to renew each year to keep using it.

    Anyway, I’d like to revoke my license from my current site (not in use/can’t access it anymore) and use my license on a different site.

    Though I can’t seem to revoke my license using this site.

    Some assistance please? 🙂

    Hi,
    You can use the plugin on the site where you have validated the license as long as you want. But you need to renew your license for getting new version update and support.

    For switching the license with single site license, you have to first withdraw the license and then validate to another site. Thats how we can confirm that the license is being used on single site. For development purpose or any other difficulties, you can contact us by forum or contact us section. And we will obviously consider this.

    However, as your site is not exists anymore, you can not withdraw the license. And I just set your account to validate one more site. Please try to validate your live site now.
