I am enjoying User Meta Pro but I am stuck trying to figure out how to create a login form that is “Inline”, with the fields side-by-side, in the header of my theme.

My site is: willow-creek-1.org

I’ve tried using UM Pro and with Advanced. I’ve tried editing the CSS to display as inline-block and even dabbled at editing the PHP directly with no luck.

I’d like some way of entering code into the theme header (to the right of my theme logo) that adds the login form so it kind of looks like this:

[LOGO ] [Email login] [Password] [Login Button]

I am trying to do the fields inline so I don’t use any more vertical space beyond the height of the logo + padding. Spent days trying to get User Meta Pro to do this but can’t figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,
Create a form with username and password field. Change title position to inline for those field.

And you can use shortcode to call the form as login form.
Shortcode: [[user-meta type=login form="Form_Name"]

If you want to call shortcode directly from header by php, follow http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/do_shortcode

That works perfectly … almost. Is there any way to also make the Submit button to be inline?

On a related note, is there anyway to make the form fields be both “inline” and “placeholder”?
