I couldn’t find my old topic on this subject to bump it, so I made a new one.
The upload picture is completely failing in Firefox.
I know you’re using a third party script for image upload, but you should either replace it or fix it, since it’s not working in a browser that has more than 25% market share. Or at least tell people upload is not working in Firefox before they pay for your plugin.
1 in 4 users is writing back to me: “y u’r site no upload my pictures?” and this is becoming a problem (i currently have around 300 users and the new website is in beta; i expect around 2k users after official launch).
I really don’t want to upload profile pictures for 500 of them, specifically since I payed for a plugin who promised to solve this problem.
Please let me know if I need to look someplace else for professional help on this matter or if you plan on fixing it soon. I was hoping that the new version would have this issue fixed. From my point of view it is a very important issue and if it’s not fixed it basically means I’m not getting what I payed for when I bought your plugin.
It’s not about how much I payed. It’s about paying for something that’s not working as promised/advertised.
We did not find upload failing issue in Firefox (We have checked with Firefox-12 and 15.0.1) when we tested and no one even claim this issue instead of you. So it seems that, this issue is only occurs for your case.

In this case I apologize for my reaction.
It has to be a conflict with the theme’s css. I’ll have a closer look into it.
If I don’t find it I will give you access to the website admin and hopefully we’ll pinpoint the problem.
I found the problem and it was indeed from css. I had to enforce the following rules on the .um_user_form .picturefield input field (where .picturefield is the class name of the upload picture):
font-size: 1 em !important; // for some reason it had a size of 460px…
height: 100%;
width: 100%;
As a side-note, the only thing that’s not working as I want it to (and I have no idea why) is: cursor: pointer;
I have tryed the “armored” fail-proof cross-browser solution (cursor:pointer !important; cursor: hand !important;) but it still shows me a text-like cursor. But this is only a minor detail. The important part (users are able to upload their pictures) is solved.
Thank you for your time and support.
