    Hi, I’ve recently enabled HTTPS (by WordPress HTTPS plugin) for my website and I have some problems with admin redirection.

    I have “Disable default login url” option checked. When I’m trying to get to https://example.com/wp-admin, I’m redirected to https://example.com/login/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fexample.com%2Fwp-admin%2F (“/login/” is the frontend page with login form, displaying “user profile”).

    Could you please help?

    Which shortcode you are using to generate your login form?

    The shortcode I use is: [user-meta type="login"]

    Would you please post your login page url and profile page url here. Or if it is private, you can send it with “Contact Us” section.

    Was there a resolution to this? I have same problem and have had to remove SSL for admin and do a custom url redirect to a non ssl admin page and would love to get that ssl back on.

    I went a different route. I made my own login page for my theme, and I’m now using Gravity Forms to handle the registration and the user edit on front end. Their new version support front end editing of user profiles. If you need user activation, that is possible also.

    Hello,
    To use secure_cookie please add following line to your functions.php (under your active theme directory)


    add_filter('secure_signon_cookie', create_function( '$secure_cookie, $credentials', 'return true;' ), 10, 2);

    And replace %admin_url% with https://yourdomain/wp-admin/
    under UserMeta >> Settings >> Login Tab >> Logged in user profile settings

    We just purchased the pro – this thread ended 11/2012 – it is now 7 months later – I am having same issue. Is this still the way to deal with the login issue as denoted above or has a better way developed in the last 7 months?

    Hello, If your third party plugin can set “secure_signon_cookie” it is ok but if not then you need to use those code. For paid support, please send an email to support(at)user-meta.com
