Hello, user_meta_user_status meta_key holds user’s activation status. They are not needed to show in profile, this field just hold the data to check the user activated or not.
Thanks.June 5, 2012 at 2:04 am #1545elurieMemberhi khaled saikat,
thank you for your response. would it be possible to use this field for activation and decativation say, for a member who has expired, but may renew and will keep that person in users. and for prospective members who are not able to login, but are in the user table.
all the best,
eveJune 6, 2012 at 1:08 am #1550KhaledMemberHello elurie,
It is possible to use that meta field for activation and deactivation. Just assign “inactive” as value for key “user_meta_user_status” to those users who have already expire but don’t want to remove them from users table.Thanks.

I don’t seem to find a place to show this field in the user lists in dashboard, or to add it in fields editor. How will my manager access this field if I can’t add it to the fields or forms editor?
many thanks,

On the Users index table, the plugin adds a link to the actions that appear when you mouse over a user row. Where it normally says “Edit | Delete | …” there should be an option to Activate/Deactivate.
June 15, 2012 at 11:31 pm #1616elurieMemberOOH many thanks for your reply,
This is wonderful! I did not notice this as I was mousing over admin users, but the non admin users have this deactivate link.
many many thanks,

hello,
This option is missing in two out of three sites, and new users are not getting activated.I have User Meta Pro installed on 3 sites.I have the User auto activation set as follows: (User will be activated automatically after registration) on all three sites. However, i am not able to activate/deactivate on two of the three as the link does not show when mousing over name in user list. It shows on one site but not the other. I can send login for these sites. I have compared the sites and their settings and their plug ins. It seems to be the same except for the fact that new users are not automatically activated and there is no option to activated them.
many thanks,
eve lurieJune 16, 2012 at 4:55 am #1618elurieMemberI can send you logins so you can check it out, if you like.
eveJune 19, 2012 at 12:59 am #1628KhaledMemberHello eve,
With version 1.1.2rc3 Activation/Deactivation link will only visible if “User auto activation.” are not selected as registration process. However with version 1.1.2rc4, Activation/Deactivation will visible whatever registration process are selected.Thanks.
June 19, 2012 at 3:09 am #1630elurieMemberhi khaled,
thank you. i am using 1.1.2rc3. and have unchecked “user auto activation” works. However, How do I update to v. 1.1.2rc4? the update link is not on the plugins page. Do I have to manually remove v. 1.1.2rc3 and ftp the new folder into my site? will the old setting still be in effect or will i have to do my settings all over again?
many thanks,
eveJune 19, 2012 at 2:19 pm #1631KhaledMemberHello eve,
To automatic (one click) update is only possible with major version. For RC version like 1.1.2rc4 you need to manually update the version. To upgrade manually, First deactivate and remove current version of User Meta Pro(Don’t worry, no settings or data won’t loss). Then you can upload and install new version from WordPress plugin page or by using ftp.Thanks.
