I would like it so that when a user edits their profile, they have the option not to edit email address or password information, unless they click a button to say, “change email address” or “change password”, because editing a profile means you have to re-enter your password after you are logged in already, and you are on the edit page, even if you are not changing your password.
You can add separate profile forms with password or email fields only and add button links to these. That will serve the purpose. But yes, it would nice to have ready to use password changing form. Thank you for the suggestion. We will consider to add the feature.
Shows how certain fields can be hidden in the back end, but if I were to use the shortcode [user-meta-profile form="Form_Name"] on a page, that would show fields for the user to edit that may have been hidden on the backend, so wouldn’t it make sense to hide those fields in both places?
In addition to my post above, the Admin no longer sees the fields, maybe it should be everyone except for the Admin can see those fields in the backend?
