User Profile Update – Email takes over every unchanged field

I’m having a strange issue that I’m having trouble finding a cause/pattern for and I’m wondering if anyone has run into something similar. Occasionally, when a user updates a small section of their larger profile, the result is that the email value replaces every other field that the user did not change. Here’s an example of the results:

username@domain.com username@domain.com has an updated profile.

Updated data:
user_pass: Updated password
first_name: username@domain.com
last_name: username@domain.com
job-title: username@domain.com
branch_city: username@domain.com
office_street_address_location_of_license: username@domain.com
office_zip_code: username@domain.com
type_or_paste_your_bio_here: UPDATED INFORMATION (this field correctly reflects the user’s change)

Since this issue is difficult to recreate, I don’t know for sure if an update to 1.3 is the fix. I am hoping someone has run into this before and can give me some insight into if it’s a bug in the version or there is some other cause.
