User data doesn't save when created in admin/back end

This “new” problem started showing up after Khaled applied a “quick fix” to my site to fix a problem where User Activation Emails were not sending. That thread is here: http://user-meta.com/forums/topic/user-activation-email-not-working-2/

I’m not getting any response there, so I’m trying it as a separate forum topic.

When I create users from the front end, it seems to work fine. But when I create users from the back end, it won’t save the data I enter into the extra fields. I click update,
and my entries have vanished. It also won’t let me change the role of these users.

On Aug 26th, I sent Khaled an email with the staging server URL and user accounts. I will resend now. It will be coming from address [myfirstname]@minodev.com. Also, I have left Khaled’s “temporary” admin account in place.

Please respond to this issue. I’m going on 3 months of issues with User Meta Pro and my client is understandably frustrated. I paid for the pro version with the understanding that it would work and be well supported.
