I have a developer’s license and am importing 600+ users for a very important project due tomorrow. I just discovered that values for checkbox groups and multi-select fields are NOT IMPORTING from CSV uploads.
Here is the test file I’m uploading (single user):
"First Name",E-mail,"Last Name","Role","Username","Phone Number","Mandatory Tracks","Registration Status","Nicename","Password","Display Name","Nickname","Registration Status for Site ID 2"
"Billy","billy@adaldesign.com","Boy","subscriber","billyboy","415-323-9508","track1,track2","2","Billy Boy","password123","Billy The Boy","billyb","4"
The 2 values (“track1,track2”) are not being saved to “Mandatory Tracks” in the database.
I have read the documentation and all forum posts very precisely. Everything else is working fine.
The most disturbing part is that if I manually enter the data via WordPress (updating their profile), the checkboxes/multi-select data comes out just fine as “track1,track2”.
However importing that data has revealed impossible.
THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM.
I appreciate your immediate attention to this matter. Please. Thank you!
OK, so turns out you need to add a space after the comma.
So it would be “track1, track2” instead of “track1,track2”.
This seriously needs to be documented.
