I had used the default reset password shortcode on the site ([user-meta type=reset-password]). When I enter the new password and click submit, it always shows “Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid.”. On further investigation, I noticed that the reset password function in the UMP code is getting called twice on submission of the new password. So in the first call, the reset password works and gets updated in the backend. But since it is getting called twice, it shows this message.
Please check is there any other related plugins or scripts trigger the same reset password hook. It can be a plugin conflict issue. To get rid of that, you can use “Switch filter or action hooks” add-on to toggle the used hooks.
Thanks!
