%password% field blank in 'after emailed verified'

For the E-mail notification section, when including the ‘%password%’ field in the “User Registration email” body, it works fine. When including it in the “After email verified” body, the generated email shows the password as blank. I’ve tried both Text and HTML versions, and while other fields are properly populated, the %password% field is always left blank. For my tests I was using the “Subscriber” tab, and I make the message unique for this one body to be sure it wasn’t coming from a different category of user. I also looked at the email source, and confirmed there is nothing filled for the password field. Here’s the actual saved body for the test:

Hi %first_name%,

Thanks for completing your registration. You’re now fully registered to add new comments, vote on features and even add new features for everyone to vote on.

To login at any page:

Password:%password%

I have the opposite problem; in the “After Email Verified” section, in a tab for a custom Role that I am using, I am not including the code for %password%, but it is appearing in the email the user receives anyway. I can’t find a way to get rid of it, because it’s not appearing anywhere in my settings.
