Multisite – 3.7 user_meta_after_user_update

I am running user_meta_pro 1.1.4. I just upgraded to wp 3.7 on a site that is in development. On MAMP wp 3.7, not multi-site, the user_meta_after_user_update works perfectly. On multisite, and 3.7, it does not even get called. I am doing the “add_action” in a plugin, but the plugin is activated. The plugin also has an add_action for field_config that works fine. I am not sure if it worked under 3.6, as I have just begun network testing. I have disabled as many plugins as I can. I am also getting “PHP Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 1 in /home8/winnccom/public_html/winnc/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 195
” before user_meta form display is called.

I have no idea what to try except going back to 3.6 and seeing if it works there. Any ideas?

I solved the php warning problem (by resetting the static main page first to posts and then to the desired page). Now there are no errors on the php log, but the user_meta_after_user_update is never called. The same code works in 3.7 non multisite.
