Granting Admin roles to Author

Please I will like to give another wordpress user (Author) some priviledges that the admin naturally has, which is: Being able to create user and edit them with “user-meta” plugin, I have already used a third party plugin to grant Author that role i.e: to be able to create users in WordPress; however since user-meta can only permit admin to edit and create,by restricting other users at the same time; The wordpress Author is limited to edit created user and even use some fields.
Please help us upgrade this feature. Thank you.

Hello, With UMP-1.1.3, any user have “add_users” capability can update/add new user. You can assign you custom role “add_users” capability.

how do I assign the custom role “add_users” and when I do that for the Author for instance; will he be able to edit the users that are added?

You can allow “add_users” capability by using role editor plugin, Author with “add_users” capability able to update user profile.

I have tried that with the role editor plugin before making this post and it does not work. Please check yourself.
