Frontend registration page: generates password error

I enabled frontend registration for my admin; however each time I completely fill the registration fields (including password field)in the frontend registration page; I keep getting this error message: “ERROR: Please enter a password”.

I have since been using the old fashioned wordpress user registration for creating new users on my site and that is very in-direct; considering that I have to first create wordpress user and then complete their registration details after creating them.

In order to eliminate the unnecessary indirect wordpress registration,and create seamless frontend registration for admin, please help solve the password error issue. Thank you.
