Forms Editor on WP 3.5

Hi,

it seems that drag&drop of the fields in the forms editor does not work well with WordPress 3.5. I have the same user-meta version on my operational server which still runs 3.4.x, nor problems there.

WP 3.5 has made some major change for internal function call.

Before next release of UMP please apply following fixes:

Open user-meta/views/form.php
Locate line 55 and 67 (for version 1.1.3rc1)
then change class name ‘button’ to ‘postbox’

Open user-meta/views/pro/userImport/exportForm.php
Locate line 17 and 26 (for version 1.1.3rc1)
then change class name \”button\” to \”postbox\”

Open user-meta/views/pro/settings/backendProfile.php
Locate line 95 and 107 (for version 1.1.3rc1)
then change class name ‘button’ to ‘postbox’

Ok, that solves the drag&drop problem but there’s a new issue, not sure if it’s related: I cannot export users with WP 3.5. I drag some fields into “Fields for export” then press Save and Export. The resulting CSV has many empty lines but no content (i.e. column) and when I reload the just saved export page, all dragged fields are gone. From looking at the respective user_meta_export option_value in the DB, it seems that nothing is saved there.

Just retested on a different site which still runs WP 3.4.2 – no problem there.

Hello, please do some more hack,

Open user-meta/assets/js/user-meta.js

and change “.button” to “.postbox” in line 42, 71, 314 (for version 1.1.3rc1)

Thanks, that works. The only remaining glitch is that the roles field doesn’t get exported. It stays in the list, but the values in that column are empty. I use the Members plugin.

I had the same problems as arminus and applied the fixes/hacks you suggest.

The drag & drop of fields work — except now the changes are not saved!!

When I hit “save changes” then go back to the forms page, nothing is saved.

How do I solve this problem?
