Hi – thanks for the great plugin. It is mostly working very well, but the option to remove fields from the back end profile is only partially working for me. It does take out Visual Editor and Admin Color Scheme when those are ticked in settings, but it will not remove Website, AIM, Yahoo IM, Jabber / Google Talk, Google+, Twitter username, Facebook profile URL, Google Profile URL, About Yourself Heading, Biographical Info even though these are all ticked. Am I doing something wrong? Hope you can help, thanks again
There might be some different plugins or scripts forcing these fields to be displayed.
Can you set a temp admin and send the credentials at support(at)user-meta.com, so the issue can be checked.
Hi, thanks for your response. I don’t have the site owner’s permission to set you up as a temp admin, for security reasons, sorry. The plugins installed are as follows:
Yoast SEO
User Role Editor (inactive)
User Meta Pro
The Events Calendar
TablePress
Sucuri Security – Auditing, Malware Scanner and Hardening
Slider Revolution
Remove Dashboard Access
Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights
Content Control
Calculated Fields Form
Avada Core
Avada Builder
Akismet Anti-Spam (inactive)
If you can spot anything obvious in that list that could cause the problem, let me know, otherwise I guess I will have to live with it, unless you would be agreeable to me using your plugin temporarily on a less sensitive site? I would of course delete it once the issue was solved.
Hi – it would seem to be Yoast! Disabling that removes some of the (ticked and unwanted) url fields, but not any of the “author” ones. As I do want to keep Yoast, it looks as if I will have to live with it, but I would be interested to know if anyone else has this issue, thanks.
