I like the feature of being able to add my own classes to the fields, but if I want to style all of the require fields a differently it is a bit repetitive to add a required class to each one in a long form. Request that a “required” class be added automatically to the parent div of each field. You’ve got “validate[required]” for the input fields but a) that’s not where I want to style it and b) I don’t think square brackets are valid in css selectors.
Hello,
Please add following code to your functions.php
Thanks.
add_filter( 'user_meta_field_config', 'user_meta_field_config_function', 10, 3 );
function user_meta_field_config_function( $field, $fieldID, $formName ){
if( !empty($field['required']) || in_array($field['field_type'], array('user_login', 'user_email')) ){
$field['field_class'] = 'your_required_class '; // leave an empty space after classname
}
return $field;
}
