Question, I have created a few fields in UMP and I would like Gravity Forms to up date those fields once a user registers on the website.
I have created ID:1 (textbox) Phone
Field Label – Phone
LP – Top
Placeholder
Description
Meta Key * – phone
How would I populate that field when someone completes the register form? When I go to Gravity forms and look for the “User Meta” It does not show the Meta Key in the drop down. Is there something extra I am missing?
I have been to integrate User Meta with Gravity Forms. But I am not sure it is what you actually require. This is what I have been able to do.
To get a User Meta field int a Gravity form I have used an HTML code in the form and the following code within it:
[user-meta type="field-value" id="3"]
This is hardly ideal for many reasons, but it is the only way I have found so far to do this.
I have had more success getting the user-meta information into notifications. If the user is logged in, you do not need to put the information into the form, just use the following code in your notification and it will populate the notification with the information.
Passport Number: {user:passport_number}
Where passport_number is the meta key you have used in User Meta.
I hope this helps, I am sorry I couldn’t be of more help on getting the field into the form itself.
Kind regards,
Ian
