Hi,
apologies if this is covered elsewhere, I haven’t found it.
I have a bunch of extra user metadata fields (such as formal_name, address_1 etc.). These fields show up fine on my Form (I created a text box for Formal Name with a Meta Key of formal_name), and these display and update correctly on my profile Form. However, I’m trying to figure out how to reference these metadata using an HTML field. I had assumed that I’d just need to wrap the meta key in % to use it, but that doesn’t work.
So <p>Formal Name: %formal_name%</p> does not display the value at all.
Am I missing something obvious? There are several pieces of non-editable metadata that I want to display, and they will display fine in a text box, but not the HTML Formatting Field.
I’m not sure if it’s related, but the additional metadata fields don’t export using the User Meta Pro export function either (even after adding the fields to the export using the “meta key” field on the screen), and I was pretty sure that according to the documentation they should all export. Additionally, when I import, I am unsure of how to map the columns to the correct meta key- I’m not seeing any way to do so as only the standard fields are listed in the drop down.
Nevermind about the second part, I got the additional metadata to work on the import/export.
