Hi! Great plugin – just purchased today and am quite eager to implement it.
We are creating a website with limited access and different predefined user roles. Users will request membership for the site and upon aproaval gain access to different marketing assets. On this website, we will be using a newsletter service to deliver announcements to users. We would like this to be an external service, such as mailchimp, which synchronizes with the site’s users database.
I have two questions in this regard. First, I would like to know if you can save me some research and point us to a newsletter plugin or service, which “understands” the user fields created with the plugin and is capable of using them for list filters or for creating lists.
The second question is if there is a hook we can use, which triggers when a user is approved. Since we would like to keep our mail lists private, we need this in order to make sure users will not receive newsletters and announcements while their status is “pending”. We want to add them to the mail list when the account gets “activated”.
